I\u2019ve seen this talked about for days. \u00a0People say it was a jab meant to mock the adoration\u00a0given to Obama, including by the media, in the closing days of his administration. \u00a0Others say that is was a sincere (if nausea\u00a0inducing) tribute. \u00a0I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

True, the Obama adoration came close to a praise service. \u00a0I half expected CNN to wrap up its special about the Obama years with an altar call. \u00a0In fact, my boys joked that CNN has a special about Jesus and one about Obama, and dared me to tell the difference.<\/p>\n

Of course that\u2019s easy. \u00a0The critical one won\u2019t be about Obama! Ha!<\/p>\n

And that was the press. \u00a0But in terms of the \u2018song\u2019 as satire? Maybe. \u00a0It\u2019s tough to be humorous when the reality is so over the top. If not, however, then it\u2019s almost as bad as this:<\/p>\n
