Forgive me for not getting my underwear in a knot over everything Trump does, says, eats, thinks, wears and breathes. \u00a0I prefer to look at the serious problems.<\/p>\n

The travel ban? \u00a0From the beginning I felt it was poorly executed. \u00a0As for the legalities? \u00a0I don\u2019t know. \u00a0I\u2019m not a Constitutional lawyer. \u00a0But we have a series of checks and balances that can kick in if it crosses the line. \u00a0Which appears to be happening<\/a>. \u00a0The same with other domestic policies.<\/p>\n

If Trump appears to do something good, I\u2019ll give credit. \u00a0Such as nominating Gorsuch. \u00a0If he could fix the ACA without bringing harm to people, but in a way that takes away the hurt to those who have been negatively\u00a0impacted by it, more power to him.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s the area of Foreign Policy that worries me, and has worried me, the most. \u00a0Since the end of the Cole War, we\u2019ve struggled to figure our place in the world. \u00a0That we are so divided as a country \u2013 divided about\u00a0our history, our identity\u00a0and our status in the world \u2013 makes it difficult. \u00a0But I\u2019m sure there are things that could be seen as problematic no matter where you stand on the issues.<\/p>\n

And having a man with a golden key to the White House spouting off about an inevitable war with China<\/a> leaps to mind. \u00a0To me, that should occupy about 70% of the focus right now.<\/p>\n

And yet the press, in its desire to keep the heat on Trump, is trying to make everything into a scandal; everything is headline news and proof of Trump\u2019s negatives. \u00a0Tempting as it is to spend yesterday still hammering the Trump vs. Schwarzenegger feud<\/a> over The Apprentice<\/em>, I\u2019m going out on a limb and saying Bannon\u2019s statements about China are more important.<\/p>\n

If Bannon was some guy selling hot dogs outside the White House? \u00a0I wouldn\u2019t\u2019 care. \u00a0But he seems to be someone who has the ear of the President of the United States. \u00a0And that, to me, is the big story of the week.<\/p>\n
