The same with anything else. \u00a0Your opponent wants evil. \u00a0He doesn\u2019t disagree with you over how to achieve good.<\/p>\n

Two, if A being true helps your party, then A is true. \u00a0If A being true hurts your party, then A is not true. \u00a0The same goes for right and wrong. \u00a0If you are helped by A being the right thing to do, then A is the right thing to do. \u00a0If not? \u00a0Then A is absolutely wrong.<\/p>\n

And the job of the pundit is to make sure we understand how these\u00a0apparent inconsistencies are always right.<\/p>\n

This is important to remember as we hear Trump and his defenders insist the important part of the Michael Flynn<\/a> story isn\u2019t the content of the leaked information, but how\u00a0the information was leaked. \u00a0If memory serves, they held a different view some months ago.<\/p>\n

Likewise, I have a hunch his\u00a0opponents will prefer to focus on the content of the leaks. \u00a0How and who leaked it, while a subject worth discussing, will\u00a0not be the important part. \u00a0 If they were illegal? \u00a0The content will still be the focus.<\/p>\n

Of course it\u2019s politics as normal, but it\u2019s also\u00a0dangerous. \u00a0 As Richard Fernandez points out<\/a>, we are veering into dangerous times.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
