Mike Flynn has a wonderful reflection on the world according to Russia.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\nThat our relationship with Russia has disintegrated over the years is obvious. \u00a0It\u2019s never been great, at least since most of the 20th century. \u00a0That brief moment of friendship between Gorbachev and Reagan was a freakish exception. \u00a0Almost immediately, as those two stepped aside, the strains began to show.<\/p>\n
Since the rise of Putin, it has gone downhill. \u00a0But lest we put it all on the feet of the Russians, it\u2019s worth taking a look from their POV.<\/p>\n
Where our relations with Russia go, I don\u2019t know. \u00a0But improving them can only be a good thing. \u00a0Seeing things from their angle can help. \u00a0Making sure we consider the concerns of the Russian people and others in the region might be a smart move as well. \u00a0It\u2019s certainly what we used to say in the olden days. \u00a0And it\u2019s not exactly an un-Christian viewpoint to have.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
