this infamous date<\/a>. \u00a0My favorite observation:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I think it would have amused the Romans of Caesar\u2019s generation if they could have learned that the assassination of Julius Caesar would eventually receive immortality through a play written more than 16 centuries after the event by a barbarian playwright in the Tin Islands that Caesar had briefly invaded.\u00a0 It would have tickled their well developed concept of the ludicrous, judging from Roman comedy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>You just never know what the future will bring. \u00a0Makes me wonder who will be writing stories about our era and what they\u2019ll say.<\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t help but think of the concern people had about Caesar and compare it to the concern people have today. \u00a0In the end, the fact that so many are frightened by\u00a0what a single man can do to our country shows just how much power we\u2019ve vested\u00a0into the position held by a single man.<\/p>\n<p>A friendly word of caution. \u00a0Don\u2019t wait until it\u2019s \u2018the other guy\u2019 before getting concerned about power. \u00a0By then, it\u2019s usually too
