I haven\u2019t heard anyone outside of certain media outlets and a few pro-abortion groups express concern<\/a> that condoms must be allowed by the Church if we are going to save the planet from Zika.\u00a0 You can almost feel the sensation: The media smells blood, and it is swarming to the Church in light of the Zika outbreak.\u00a0 We don\u2019t even know much more than sex is linked to one case, and so could possibly bring about more cases.\u00a0 That\u2019s it.\u00a0 But already I\u2019ve seen multiple stories in print and on cable where you\u2019d think the whole world is holding its breath, ready for the Catholic Church to singlehandedly stop the outbreak by allowing contraceptives.\u00a0 Not that we even know if contraceptives would work.\u00a0 Nobody cares.\u00a0 The media doesn\u2019t care.\u00a0Pro-abort groups don\u2019t care.\u00a0 They\u2019re using this to push the all holy agenda.\u00a0 And I can\u2019t help but wonder if, in the back of their minds, they believe that this could be the excuse Pope Francis uses to finally throw that pesky old Catholic teaching out the door.\u00a0 Not that he will.\u00a0 But I can\u2019t help but wonder if that is what is in their minds.\u00a0 After all, with almost no knowledge of what is happening, you have the media advancing the narrative that this will be just like AIDS, which apparently only spread because the Church refused to allow condoms.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
