When he spoke about China<\/a>.\u00a0 I figured there would be some kerfuffle over it all.\u00a0 The biggest problem, of course, was his not calling China out on the carpet over its deplorable human rights record.\u00a0 I know, I know.\u00a0 Liberals will immediately fire back with the millions we\u2019ve killed in the Middle East, the millions of American Muslims living in fear of rampant Islamaphobia, and for good measure will remind us of the slaughter of Native Americans, slavery, Japanese interment camps, Hiroshima, Jim Crow and Dred Scott. <\/p>\nNonetheless, the most we can say is that China is no better than the horrors of America and the\u00a0Dying West.\u00a0 And since we know Pope Francis is\u00a0willing to call us out on such things, it does make you wonder why he did nothing but heap praise and adoration on Communist China.\u00a0 For me, it\u2019s what you do when you are negotiating from a position of weakness.\u00a0 And that\u2019s where we are.\u00a0 We\u2019re a dying civilization and just about everyone knows it.\u00a0 Those in charge, like Pope Francis, must find ways to move us forward into a world where the civilization that Christianity built no longer calls the shots.\u00a0 And for that, I\u2019m willing to pardon the pontiff.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
