Julius Caesar<\/em>\u00a0that replaces the great Roman leader with the current president. \u00a0She was arrested and fined, as you typically would be if you disrupt such a performance.<\/p>\nHere\u2019s the thing. \u00a0The two are only related in terms of subject material. \u00a0They are not proof of some greater trend. \u00a0At least not the protest. \u00a0Whether or not you agree with Caesar\u2019s portrayal, you still can\u2019t break the law. \u00a0You break the law, you get arrested. \u00a0A time honored understanding among conservatives. \u00a0And a healthy one. \u00a0Breaking the law doesn\u2019t offer exemptions for doing it with\u00a0right thinking.<\/p>\n
The school story, on the other hand, was chilling. \u00a0But the teacher has been\u00a0suspended pending an investigation by the school district. \u00a0What was done has not been defended. \u00a0If it happened as it appears to have happened, then the school has already condemned it. \u00a0In other words, this was a \u2018lone wolf\u2019 rather than a coordinated\u00a0assault on free speech.<\/p>\n
Not that it isn\u2019t bothersome, and I hope they can somehow redistribute the yearbooks as the students intended. \u00a0But the two are not related stories, nor do they, in themselves, point to some greater\u00a0left-wing conspiracy. \u00a0Just keeping it real.<\/p>\n
