After I went jogging last night I had a burst of creativity.<\/div>\n
I made a new shrine.<\/div>\n
It\u2019s made of a wooden bead box<\/div>\n
discarded by my daughter,<\/div>\n
willow twigs I collected in college,<\/div>\n
rusted parts I scavenged in my parents basement,<\/div>\n
a piece of a treasured rusted measuring tape <\/div>\n
(I don\u2019t know what I\u2019ll do when I use it up)<\/div>\n
A watch part my DH got me<\/div>\n
and a domino.<\/div>\n

The thing I got really excited about was the beeswax.<\/div>\n
It was the first time I tried using it on a shrine. I\u2019ve made candles,<\/div>\n
both taper and pillar, but I stopped when I had little children.<\/div>\n
Hot wax and two year olds are a bad combination.<\/div>\n

I love working with beeswax. The smell when it melts is amazing, <\/div>\n
like honey only richer and less sweet. <\/div>\n
I love how it holds the sticks in place and yet lets the wood and paint show through.<\/div>\n
I\u2019m going to be working with beeswax again.<\/div>\n
