<\/a>Over the past week or two, the emphasis for the Come, Follow Me<\/em> curriculum in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints<\/a> has been on the recovery of the Book of Mormon and on the witnesses to that recovery. \u00a0In that context, some of you might find this short video feature of interest and of use: \u00a0\u201cEpisode 32: To Be a Witness\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n By the way: \u00a0Undaunted<\/em> is available for free streaming at The Witnesses Initiative<\/a>. \u00a0And so, for the moment, is the theatrical movie Witnesses<\/em> itself \u2014 somewhat to my surprise. \u00a0I don\u2019t know exactly when the free-streaming opportunity for Witnesses<\/em> will close. \u00a0Possibly today. \u00a0It won\u2019t be long, in any case.<\/p>\n In temple news out of Texas, \u201cFairview mayor pleads with Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to avoid lawsuit:\u00a0<\/span>The mayor said he\u2019d go to Utah if it means he can meet with a church leader about the height of the proposed McKinney Texas Temple.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n I have a modest proposal, though, that might satisfy officials in Fairview: The Church should redesign its planned temple to make it blend in with the neighborhood. \u00a0So that you\u2019re able to form a picture in your mind, photographs of the quaint rural hamlet over which the currently proposed temple would tower can be found here<\/a>. \u00a0However, the Lost Creek Village strip mall<\/a>, which sits directly across the street from the temple site, offers an appropriate architectural model for a revised and more modest design, one that local people seem already to have accepted. \u00a0And, specifically, the image of the all-seeing eye that appears above the sign for Fairview Eyecare<\/a> needs to be incorporated into the exterior appearance of the new temple.<\/p>\n In a possibly related story, \u201cTexas lawmaker calls for investigation into planned Muslim-centric development in D-FW:\u00a0<\/span>A state representative from Allen wants the AG\u2019s office to investigate the planned development.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0 Allen, Texas, by the way, is a suburban city in Collin County, in the northern suburbs of the Dallas\u2013Fort Worth metroplex. \u00a0So is Fairview, to which It is directly adjacent. \u00a0In fact, Allen\u2019s northeastern border is formed by Stacy Road, the road on which Fairview Eyecare and the Lost Creek Village strip mall and the Thai Papaya restaurant and a CVS pharmacy sit \u2014 directly across the street from the site (just east of an existing Latter-day Saint meetinghouse at 651 East Stacy Road) of the proposed McKinney Texas Temple.<\/p>\n When, at the United Nations a few days ago, my government stood heroically with the governments of Belarus, Nicaragua, North Korea, Russia, and Syria against the violent, oppressive, and imperialist \u201ccountry\u201d of Ukraine, I thought that I could not possibly be any prouder than I was at that moment to be a citizen of the United States. \u00a0(For related documentary footage, see here<\/a>.) \u00a0Even China could not summon up the moral courage to vote against Ukraine, although Chinese officials went out of their way afterward to heap praises upon Russia. \u00a0But I was wrong. \u00a0In the Oval Office of the White House on Friday morning, our leaders bravely gave Ukraine\u2019s tyrannical dictator a well deserved public verbal thrashing, and I\u2019m inspired beyond any possible words. \u00a0Indeed, I can only exclaim \u0441\u0434\u0435\u043b\u0430\u0442\u044c \u0410\u043c\u0435\u0440\u0438\u043a\u0443 \u0432\u0435\u043b\u0438\u043a\u043e\u0439 \u0441\u043d\u043e\u0432\u0430!<\/p>\n Here\u2019s a passage from Jonah Goldberg \u2014 who, like the execrable Volodymyr Zelensky himself, may well be a Jewish Nazi \u2014 that he posted yesterday after the masterful diplomatic display at the White House:<\/p>\n In his inaugural address, John F.
