Thus, it\u2019s not surprising to read, in Matthew 18:14, that \u201cit is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.\u201d<\/p>\n

Which seems a pretty clear refutation, to my simple little mind, of the Calvinist notion that the Lord\u00a0has decreed salvation for only\u00a0a small band of the \u201celect\u201d while willing damnation for the vast majority of humankind who live today and for virtually all who have ever lived \u2014 \u201csinners in the hands of an angry God.\u201d \u00a0Rather, as 2 Peter 3:9 explains, he\u2019s \u201cnot willing that any should\u00a0perish, but that all should come to repentance.\u201d<\/p>\n
