The Supreme Court decision compelling all federal, state, and local government entities to recognize a right to same-sex \u201cmarriage\u201d came down on Friday, and I\u2019ve already seen one high-profile call (on Time Magazine<\/em>\u2018s website) for stripping churches of their tax-exempt status:<\/p>\n

In other news, I\u2019ve seen specific demands for Brigham Young University to lose both its tax exemption and its accreditation. \u00a0Some\u00a0have claimed online that they\u2019ve\u00a0written to state schools in\u00a0California with which\u00a0BYU has games scheduled, demanding that BYU be dropped from their athletic schedules and that all other ties with BYU be \u00a0severed. \u00a0Others have called for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints<\/a>, in particular, to be taxed.<\/p>\n
