As currently understood and reported, this discovery doesn\u2019t appear directly relevant to the Book of Mormon and it certainly doesn\u2019t count as evidence for its claims:<\/p>\n

And it does plainly suggest that there\u2019s still a lot to be done and a lot to be discovered, and many\u00a0surprises to be had, with respect to Amerindian genetics. \u00a0Moreover, as various authorities have pointed out, not\u00a0identifyng Sariah\u2019s unknown genetic signature among today\u2019s Native Americans after 2600 years doesn\u2019t prove that she was never in the New World, in any case.<\/p>\n
