I worry about Ben Carson\u2019s lack<\/em> of executive experience. \u00a0But I like him a lot, and he\u2019s a obviously extremely bright. \u00a0He would grow rapidly into the vice presidential role.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
This is far down my list of priorities, but I would also like the way in which such a ticket would defang many Democratic attacks in advance. \u00a0Republican racism? \u00a0It would be hard to make that look even remotely plausible with Ben Carson as the Republican vice presidential nominee. \u00a0A Republican \u201cwar on women\u201d? \u00a0Try telling that to Ms. Fiorina.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
It could be a transformative and historically pivotal campaign.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
And it would be fun to see them come up against the excitingly youthful, refreshingly vibrant, new-ideas candidacies of, say, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, or Joe Biden.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t know whether it will happen \u2014 probably not \u2014 but there are worse possibilities on the horizon.<\/p>\n
