John 12:9-11<\/a><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Clearly, according to the gospel of John, the raising of Lazarus was the immediate catalyst for the arrest and execution of Jesus. \u00a0The miracle was simply too obvious and far too spectacular to ignore. \u00a0The Jewish leadership may not have believed it to have been a genuine<\/em> miracle \u2014 they most likely didn\u2019t<\/em> \u2014 but they knew that a very great number of their fellow Jews did. \u00a0<\/em>It was creating a very volatile situation.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
