Furthermore,\u00a0it makes the important point that, despite what you\u2019re often told, pseudo-science isn\u2019t a monopoly of irrationally religious right-wing knuckle draggers such as myself. \u00a0Whenever I\u2019m in a Whole Foods market, which has happened a few times \u2014 I find them very interesting, and I like much (though by no means all) of what they sell \u2014 I don\u2019t exactly get the impression that I\u2019m surrounded by zealots for the Tea Party or by lifetime members of the National Rifle Association. \u00a0More commonly, it feels as if the entire faculty club at Harvard, Berkeley, or Santa Cruz (or the audience at a Bernie Sanders rally) has just been flown in.<\/p>\n
