As for us<\/em>, we\u2019ve been hitting some of the family Christmas traditions:<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
We had the missionaries (Sister Lawson and Sister Gerrigues) over last night for a Cuban pork dinner, accompanied by juca<\/em>\u00a0(or cassava) and beans and rice and followed up by a fairly close analogue of \u201cfiggy pudding.\u201d \u00a0(We had had them over for pizza on Tuesday night.) \u00a0And they helped us make\u00a0baklava<\/em>, which they were able to enjoy today when they came over to make their FaceTime and Skype calls home. \u00a0We also had Norwegian lefse<\/em>\u00a0today, and will, I think, have a Swiss cheese fondue later today.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
And, of course, we\u2019ve walked the dogs. \u00a0And shared gifts. \u00a0And listened to music. \u00a0And, right now, we\u2019re going to laugh at an episode or two or three or four of Parks and Recreation<\/em>.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
