I suppose that one of the points to be taken away from this comment by the famous Belle of Amherst\u00a0is that we shouldn\u2019t always be living for the future. \u00a0Not that we shouldn\u2019t prepare for the future at all<\/em>, but that we only really ever live \u2014 and only really ever will<\/em> live \u2014 in successive present moments. \u00a0So we shouldn\u2019t defer goodness, truth, and beauty for some indefinite time yet (and always) to come.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
So the prophets, too, have taught:<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
