The passing of Justice Antonin Scalia is very\u00a0bad news for America and horrible news, I think, for conservatism and the cause of limited government \u2014 which, in the age of Clinton Inc., Comrade Bernie, and Trumpism, scarcely need<\/em>\u00a0more bad news.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
It\u2019s extremely unlikely that President Obama will hold off, or be blocked, from nominating yet another left-leaning justice during the nearly twelve months that remain in his unfortunate presidency. \u00a0And this newly-minted Obama nominee\u00a0will replace one of the most brilliant, articulate, and reliable conservatives ever to have graced the bench. \u00a0Another liberal justice on SCOTUS, in fact, will mark a dramatic lurch to the left that will persist, potentially, for decades. \u00a0(September of this year would have marked thirty years of service for Justice Scalia on the high court.)<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Elections have consequences, and the national and international consequences of Barack Obama will continue for a very, very long time to come.<\/p>\n
