Years ago, one of the things that many Americans held against Bill Clinton was the fact that, thanks to him, they found themselves needing to explain to their children\u00a0what oral sex was. \u00a0The nightly news became embarrassingly sordid and tawdry.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Now, Mr. Donald Trump has brought those same wonderful qualities into presidential debates. \u00a0He vows, as well, to make Mr. Clinton\u2019s various sexual scandals and infidelities an issue. \u00a0But how can he<\/em>, of all people, do such a thing? \u00a0Does he perhaps trust that his own shameless boastfulness will give him an advantage over Mr. Clinton\u2019s relative stealth in these matters?<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Is this really what the Republic has come to?<\/p>\n
