When we bridle a horse, we do so to guide it, to steer it. \u00a0Not to shoot it.<\/p>\n

In other words, our natural passions aren\u2019t\u00a0evil. \u00a0No more than a good horse is. \u00a0But they need to be managed, directed.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
And Alma 38:12 is also striking for its promise that, if<\/em> we manage, control, steer, channel our passions, we\u2019ll be \u201cfilled with love.\u201d \u00a0Not left cold and austere. \u00a0Not deprived of life. \u00a0Not bloodless and repressed. \u00a0Not terminally uncool. \u00a0Filled with love.<\/em><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
