He said many wonderful things, of course. \u00a0Among my favorites is this,\u00a0from a 15 December 1840 letter that he wrote to the Twelve\u00a0from\u00a0Nauvoo, Illinois. \u00a0It was published in\u00a0Times and Seasons <\/em>(1\u00a0<\/span>January 1841, p.\u00a0258) and now appears in\u00a0History of the Church<\/em>,<\/span>\u00a04:227:<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cLove is one of the chief characteristics of Deity, and ought to be manifested by those who aspire to be the sons of God.
