As it happens, I had a somewhat shady academic friend a number of years ago (not at BYU), who was something of an entrepreneurial type. \u00a0Every once in a while, hoping to gain favors from me (and\/or from BYU), he would put me on the editorial board of some journal or other that he had started. \u00a0(None of them, I think, were money-making ventures. \u00a0He just liked to launch such things.) \u00a0I never looked to see, but I believe that I may still be a member of the board of, among other things, a journal of Chinese literature and a journal of \u201cAfricana studies.\u201d \u00a0Fortunately, I doubt that many others have seen them, either.<\/p>\n
