Some braying, in an article<\/a> in a conservative magazine to which I was a charter subscriber \u2014 it has lately wandered\u00a0too far into Trumpism for my taste \u2014 from a jackass named Eric Peters:<\/p>\n

Utah Has Just Become Drier<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I fully understand that <a href='https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/library\/mormonism' target='_blank'>Mormons<\/a> and Mormonism will be an unavoidable part of any reasonably competent\u00a0story about Utah laws and alcohol consumption. \u00a0But it seems to me that Mr. Peters went beyond that into genuine religious hostility. \u00a0Not very classy. \u00a0Especially before a Trumpist-leaning audience for some of whom mentioning Mormonism inevitably resembles\u00a0waving a red flag in front of a particularly aggressive bull.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, a\u00a0few\u00a0of the readers\u2019 comments \u2014 especially those from Jordan Funk \u2014 are pretty good.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
