From what I\u2019ve read\u00a0of his work, Joel Kotkin<\/a> is one of the more interesting thinkers out there on social and economic trends. \u00a0If he\u2019s right in this article<\/a> \u2014 and my own impressions suggest to me that he is \u2014 I can only lament the ongoing destruction of my wonderful native California by egregious misrule:<\/p>\n
