You would think that this idea, that science (by definition) has certain limits, wouldn\u2019t be terribly difficult to grasp.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

But you would be wrong.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Several of those who\u2019ve responded to my most recent Deseret<\/em> News<\/em> article<\/a> \u2014 at the newspaper itself and elsewhere \u2014 seem to have utterly failed to understand the issue.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

A poster on one rather low-voltage message board demands of \u201cPeterson\u201d that he \u201cname one major life question or problem which cannot be addressed or mitigated by science.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Well, here\u2019s a response from those madcap religious zealots at\u00a0the Museum of Paleontology of the University of California at Berkeley, published in collaboration with a diverse group of scientists and teachers and\u00a0funded by the National Science Foundation:<\/p>\n
