Although I am now convinced that scientific truth is unassailable in its own field, I have never found it possible to dismiss the content of religious thinking as simply part of an outmoded phase in the consciousness of mankind, a part we shall have to give up from now on. Said astrophysicist George Smoot, leader of the research team: \u2018If you\u2019re religious, it\u2019s like looking at God.\u00a0 The order is so beautiful and the symmetry so beautiful that you think there is some design behind it.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #585858;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201c\u2019Whatever caused the rapid expansion of the universe following the Big Bang\u2013the same forces caused tiny ripples. Because if you try to do something too fast, you shake a little.
