A Canadian woman told the Guggenheims about seeing her two daughters, ten days after their death in a farm accident:<\/span><\/p>\n

Noelle and Christie were standing there, hand-in-hand, sort of looking up.\u00a0 They were bathed in a very bright, clear white light.\u00a0 The light was indescribable!\u00a0 It was brighter than anything I\u2019ve ever seen, and it should have hurt my eyes, but it didn\u2019t.<\/strong>[1]<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

As one experiencer described it, it is a \u201cwhite, lovely, iridescent light. . . .\u00a0 Just a beautiful, white light.\u00a0 Warm.\u00a0 Very comforting, like reconciliation.\u201d[2]<\/a>\u00a0 Another speaks of \u201ca glorious, living light that was more felt than seen since no eye could absorb its splendor.\u201d[3]<\/a>\u00a0 An experiencer called Gina recalls \u201ca beautiful, beautiful golden white light.\u201d[4]<\/a>\u00a0 Witnesses clearly struggle to convey their sense of what they saw. \u201cOh, what a Light it was!\u201d says Bob Helm.\u00a0 \u201cIt was gold and silver and green and full of love.\u201d[5]<\/a> \u201cBright, white light, yet soft and easy to look at,\u201d says yet another witness.\u00a0 \u201cIt was like the light was alive.\u201d[6]<\/a>\u00a0 \u201cThe light,\u201d says Pat Clark, \u201cwas the brightest and most brilliant I had ever seen both before my NDE and since.\u00a0 The light was more brilliant than a diamond.\u00a0 In fact, it was a whitish-blue color. . . .\u00a0 The light was sharper than the light of any star (for astronomy is my hobby).\u201d[7]<\/a>\u201d\u00a0 The Bardo Th\u00f6dol<\/em>, or, as it is generally known in English, the Tibetan Book of the Dead<\/em>, a Buddhist<\/a> text designed to guide the newly dead into the next life, says that, when the spirit of the deceased leaves the body, it is surrounded by the \u201cRadiance of the Clear Light of Pure Reality.\u201d[8]<\/a>\u00a0 In the first or second century Hindu classic known as the Bhagavadgita<\/em>, Krishna tells Arjuna that those who die, \u201cwho part the bonds constraining them to flesh,\u201d enter \u201cthe eternal world\u201d:<\/span><\/p>\n
