\u00a0To have happy families sit down after opening their presents and enjoying a festive dinner to contemplate a heavily footnoted article on the reflexive verb in Early Middle Nephite?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The answer, of course, was No.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So we began to invite selected people to contribute original articles or essays \u2014 of any kind they chose, whether scholarly or devotional or autobiographical or whatever \u2014 written specifically for <em>Interpreter<\/em> and specifically aimed at either Christmas and Easter.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Our first essay in this new series was a piece written for Christmas 2014 by the famous and award-winning Latter-day Saint novelist Orson Scott Card, which I again call to your attention as part of the lead-up to Christmas this year:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mormoninterpreter.com\/christmas-is-about-a-baby\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">\u201cChristmas Is About a Baby\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Coincidentally, on Friday, 30 November 2018, we actually published an article revisiting a much earlier (non-Christmas and pre-<em>Interpreter<\/em>) essay by Scott Card:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mormoninterpreter.com\/orson-scott-cards-artifact-or-artifice-where-it-stands-after-twenty-five-years\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">\u201cOrson Scott Card\u2019s\u00a0\u201cArtifact or Artifice\u201d:\u00a0Where It Stands\u00a0After Twenty-five Years\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If you haven\u2019t read it, I think you\u2019ll find it interesting.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>***<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>New, on the website of the Interpreter Foundation:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/interpreterfoundation.org\/the-church-in-the-dr-congo-a-personal-perspective-part-7-taking-the-gospel-to-the-ends-of-the-earth\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">\u201cThe Church in the DR Congo: A Personal Perspective: Part 7, Taking the Gospel to the \u201cEnds of the Earth\u201d\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>***<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I hadn\u2019t been able to participate in the Interpreter Radio Show for a couple of months, at least, so it was fun on Sunday last to join <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/terry-l-hutchinson-llc-b8681121\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Terry Hutchinson<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mormoninterpreter.com\/author\/johng\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">John Gee<\/a> in the (to me still new) K-Talk studio and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mormoninterpreter.com\/author\/kevinc\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Kevin Christensen<\/a>\u00a0for the most recent iteration of the weekly program. \u00a0And, for most of the last hour, we spoke with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mormoninterpreter.com\/author\/julies\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Julie M.
