the list that I recently sent out<\/a> to donors and volunteers and then posted here on my blog. \u00a0This is how that item, a short paragraph, reads:<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cBy the end of\u00a02018, Interpreter\u2019s journal will have published fifty-seven (57) articles during\u00a0the calendar year, totaling\u00a01044 pages, in three complete volumes, by forty-six\u00a0unique authors. From the time 337.5 weeks before, when the\u00a0Foundation was\u00a0established in August 2012, it will have published at least one article each\u00a0Friday\u2014and sometimes two or\u00a0even, occasionally, three\u2014for 336 consecutive\u00a0weeks, without interruption. Allen Wyatt has supervised this amazing\u00a0productivity, and deserves our gratitude for his very effective hard work.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
I should have given credit to Jeffrey Mark Bradshaw for serving as our \u201cproduction editor\u201d for a substantial portion of the existence of Interpreter: A Journal of Mormon Scripture<\/em>. \u00a0When he and his wife were leaving for their assignment to the Democratic Republic of the Congo Kinshasa Mission, I was deeply concerned. \u00a0Plainly, given his obligations to his ecclesiastical calling, Jeff would be unable to continue to supervise the weekly publication of our journal. \u00a0But it\u2019s a very demanding task, and he seemed essentially irreplaceable. \u00a0Who could possibly take over for him? \u00a0Who would willingly assume the considerable burden of regular, weekly production? \u00a0Happily, Allen Wyatt was able and willing to step into that role. \u00a0We didn\u2019t miss so much as a single beat. \u00a0Which is, to me, nothing short of astounding.<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Thus, anyway, Allen is to be praised for his management of the\u00a0fifty-seven (57) articles that will have appeared during\u00a0the calendar year 2018, totaling\u00a01044 pages, in three complete volumes, by forty-six\u00a0unique authors \u2014 and for those that have appeared for quite some time before. \u00a0But a substantial portion of the credit up until sometime in early 2016 should also go to Jeff Bradshaw for Interpreter\u2019s overall record of publishing\u00a0at least one article each\u00a0Friday \u2014 and sometimes two or\u00a0even, occasionally, three \u2014 for 336 consecutive, uninterrupted weeks.<\/p>\n
