Verbal slights or attacks, social insults or exclusions, mockery, derision, media misrepresentation. \u00a0Public and private criticisms, some of them based on legitimate questions or concerns, some grossly unjust and even dishonest. \u00a0Often subtle. \u00a0Sometimes almost unnoticed.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The response must not be paranoia or a persecution complex.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We must sometimes correct egregious falsehoods; they cannot be permitted to travel around the world uncontradicted. \u00a0But, mostly, we must concentrate on living and acting and speaking as befits Latter-day Saints. \u00a0\u201c<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Be not overcome of evil,\u201d wrote the apostle Paul (Romans 12:21), \u201cbut overcome evil with good.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"chapter-1\" style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong><span id=\"en-KJV-26046\" class=\"text John-1-1\">In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. \u00a0<\/span>The same was in the beginning with God. \u00a0All things were made by him;
