For another purpose, I spent a while this morning updating the list of main publications produced by the Middle Eastern Texts Initiative, or METI, which I conceived and founded, and which I led (under various official titles, including \u201cdirector\u201d and \u201ceditor-in-chief,\u201d through various administrative restructurings) until 2013, when I was forced by the then-new regime at the Maxwell Institute\u00a0to resign.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
I thought that I might share it here in order to illustrate something of what was (and what continues to be) achieved. \u00a0It\u2019s not impossible that I\u2019ve omitted one or two volumes, but I\u2019ve tried to make the list complete and I can\u2019t think, off hand, of any omissions.<\/p>\n

The Maxwell Institute handed the Middle Eastern Texts Initiative over to the venerable Dutch academic publisher E. J. Brill \u2014 which was founded in 1683 \u2014 in 2017. \u00a0The folks at Brill had been trying to get METI for quite a while, but I had always refused their overtures. \u00a0Even under Brill, however, I continue to be listed in the front material of each book as \u201cFounding Editor.\u201d<\/p>\n
