That means a very great deal to me, personally.<br>(LDS Media Library)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Always straining to find new and more gratifyingly contemptuous ways of demeaning me, one of my harsher anonymous online critics announced a few days ago that I\u2019m \u201caddicted\u201d to food.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And, alas, it\u2019s true: \u00a0I eat food every day. \u00a0<em>Every single day.<\/em> \u00a0I\u2019m not sure that I\u2019ve ever gone a full day without it.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tonight, my wife and I went to the Bosphorous Restaurant at Lake Nona. \u00a0(It was a first for us; previously, we\u2019ve been once or twice to the Dr Phillips location.) \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bosphorousrestaurant.com\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine<\/a> is a particular favorite of mine. \u00a0Heck, it\u2019s almost \u00a0sufficient reason in itself to travel to the Orlando area. \u00a0We were under orders, though, to have Turkish food from Bosphorous ready and waiting when members of our family arrived at the airport. \u00a0(One of them is a really serious foody, unlike yours truly.) \u00a0And so we did. \u00a0It was merely tough additional duty that had to eat some ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Good Middle Eastern food \u2014 Lebanese (Arabic) this time \u2014 is also to be had in Orlando at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlandocedars.com\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Cedar\u2019s Restaurant<\/a>. \u00a0It\u2019s located literally almost next door to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seasons52.com\/locations\/fl\/orlando\/orlando-sand-lake-road\/4501\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Seasons 52<\/a>, where we had lunch today. \u00a0We\u2019ve eaten there several times with friends, but I don\u2019t think that we\u2019re likely to make it this on this particular visit.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cedar\u2019s and Seasons 52 and at least one Bosphorous location are all within relatively short distance, by the way, of the Orlando Florida Temple. \u00a0Taken together, the temple and a visit to one of these restaurants for lunch or for dinner can make for a pretty satisfying part of a very good day.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re ever in Orlando, give one of these restaurants a try, particularly if you\u2019re unfamiliar with the Turkish and Lebanese Arabic cuisines. \u00a0(Moroccan Arabic food is quite different and also very much worth a try, but I\u2019m unfamiliar with any Moroccan restaurants in the area \u2014 with the obvious exception of the <a href=\"https:\/\/disneyworld.disney.go.com\/dining\/epcot\/restaurant-marrakesh\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Restaurant Marrakesh<\/a> and its related eating places in the Moroccan pavilion at Epcot.)<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>***<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Far more important, even, than really good food \u2014 even for someone who is addicted to eating, as I am \u2014 are the sentiments expressed in this remarkable, even moving, document:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/religionnews.com\/2019\/10\/22\/an-american-muslim-imams-letter-to-the-american-sikh-community\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">\u201cAn American Muslim imam\u2019s letter to the American Sikh community\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Posted from Orlando, Florida<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 Always straining to find new and more gratifyingly contemptuous ways of demeaning me, one of my harsher anonymous online critics announced a few days ago that I\u2019m \u201caddicted\u201d to food. \u00a0 And, alas, it\u2019s true: \u00a0I eat food every day. \u00a0Every single day. \u00a0I\u2019m not sure that I\u2019ve ever gone a full day [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1019,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-79467","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.1 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>A couple of places to try Middle Eastern cuisine in Orlando<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"&nbsp;
