A small production crew will be doing some supplemental filming for the Interpreter Foundation\u2019s Witnesses<\/i>\u00a0movie project at Genesee Country Village\u2014about half an hour from Rochester, New York, and not far from Palmyra\u2014from 23 June through 25 June. \u00a0The film is almost totally finished now, but some relatively small details remain.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

We are trying to keep costs down by flying no more people to New York than we absolutely must.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

So I\u2019m writing to inquire whether anybody out there would be available (or knows somebody who would be available) to help during those days. \u00a0Here\u2019s what the producer wrote to me:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you know any wranglers\/horsemen used to filmmaking in the upstate New York area? \u00a0We need a couple of \u201csneaking riders\u201d with horses. \u00a0[Also] runner for food\/lunches since any run is about \u00bd hr each way\u2014GCV is very rural. \u00a0But we can probably find a local production assistant to help us out.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

So two different jobs, and probably two different people:<\/span><\/p>\n

1) \u00a0I\u00a0don\u2019t even know what a \u201csneaking rider\u201d might be, but I assume that experience with horses is expected.<\/span><\/p>\n

2) \u00a0The second job would be to provide simple lunches (e.g., sandwiches), water\/drinks, and snacks for the cast and crew (twenty people or less), so that they don\u2019t have to constantly leave the set to go foraging. \u00a0The Interpreter Foundation will, of course, pick up the tab for the food, snacks, and drinks.<\/span><\/p>\n
