Nibley Lectures: Come, Follow Me Old Testament Lesson 2 \u201cIn the Beginning God Created the Heaven and the Earth\u201d Genesis 1\u20132; Moses 2\u20133; Abraham 4\u20135<\/a><\/p>\n

During the Winter Semester of 1986 at Brigham Young University, Dr. Hugh W. Nibley, professor emeritus of ancient scriptures, presented a series of twenty-six lectures to an Honors class on the Pearl of Great Price. This class was videotaped in the Maeser Building and made available by FARMS as both video and audio recordings. The text was then transcribed and included in Ancient Documents and the Pearl of Great Price<\/em>, published by Deseret Book.<\/p>\n

This week we have the audio recordings of a total of five Pearl of Great Price lectures relevant to the second\u00a0Come, Follow Me<\/em> Old Testament lesson on Genesis 1\u20132; Moses 2\u20133; and Abraham 4\u20135. We\u2019re also including a separate lecture on \u201cPatriarchy and Matriarchy,\u201d an address given at the BYU Women\u2019s Conference on 1 February 1980. Where available, we\u2019ve also included links to the video recordings. Over the next month, we will post the remaining lectures relevant to the Come, Follow Me<\/em>\u00a0lessons that include sections of The Pearl of Great Price.<\/p>\n

We ate tonight at the Maya Mexican Grill<\/a> in downtown Richmond.\u00a0 It\u2019s not traditional Mexican cuisine.\u00a0 It\u2019s more, I suppose, of a modern Mexican fusion.\u00a0 I liked it.\u00a0 Especially the Queso Fundido<\/em>.\u00a0 We had intended to have sushi.\u00a0 But when we reached that restaurant, it was very crowded.\u00a0 Given the current situation with the omicron variant of COVID-19 and fearing a long wait time, we changed plans.\u00a0 And things turned out just fine.<\/p>\n
