Creationist Ray Comfort managed to get himself back in the news last week by defending the now confessed child molester, Josh Duggar, one of the stars of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting.
Comfort tweeted in support of Josh, “Standing by my friend Josh Duggar, as a brother in Christ. This was in his BC days. Such were some of us.”

However, we know the acts started when Josh was 14-years-old, so we must assume by Comfort’s statement that at that age, Josh had not yet become a Christian (an odd idea given the house he grew up in.)Yet, Josh’s own website tells a much different story, on the bio page of Josh and Anne’s site it reads:
“He accepted Christ at the age of seven, was homeschooled and graduated from High School at the age of sixteen.”
So Josh had been a born-again Christian for seven years prior to sexually assaulting four of his sisters and a family friend.
So, Ray, you want to re-issue another statement or are you happy to sit back and defend a serial child molester?
It seems that both Hemant Mehta and I have both reached out to Comfort for a response. If either of us get one, I will be sure to update that here.
