Those numbers are from Jan. 30 to Feb. 20. Adjusting for cases between now and then, and accounting for the amount of time it takes for the body to make antibodies, we can estimate that as many as half of Californians have natural immunity today.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\nThe same report found that 45% of people in Los Angeles had Covid-19 antibodies. Again, the number can only be higher today. Between \u201chalf and two-thirds of our population has antibodies in it now,\u201d due to Covid exposure or vaccination, Mayor Eric Garcetti said Sunday on \u201cFace the Nation.\u201d That would explain why cases in Los Angeles are down 95% in the past 11 weeks and the positivity rate among those tested is now 1.7% (\u201cHerd Immunity Is Near, Despite Fauci\u2019s Denial,\u201d<\/a> Marty Makary, Wall Street Journal<\/em>, 3-24-21)<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\nCalifornia now has one case per 15,442 people.<\/div>\n*<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\nLast summer, experts estimated that 60-70% had to be vaccinated<\/a> for herd immunity to occur.\u00a0His Eminence, Lord Fauci started \u201crevising\u201d the numbers up last November. Several people have noted Dr. Fauci\u2019s vacillations and wishy-washy record<\/a> of statements and actions during the entire pandemic. And they are critical of his statements now that seem to minimize the positive effects of vaccines<\/a>.<\/div>\n*<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\nSen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) [himself a physician] escalated his feud with the federal government\u2019s leading infectious diseases expert on Monday, calling Anthony Fauci a \u201cpetty tyrant\u201d for suggesting Americans vaccinated against the coronavirus should not eat or drink indoors.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\u201cFauci continues to ignore 100 years of vaccine science,\u201d Paul wrote in a tweet Monday morning. \u201cHis only real theme is \u2018do what I say\u2019 even when it makes no sense.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\u201cAmericans who have recovered from or been vaccinated against the coronavirus should \u201cgo about your life,\u201d Paul said. \u201cEat, drink, work, open the schools. That\u2019s about 40 more than the previous week.<\/div>\n*<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\nNew Jersey was second with 282 cases per 100,000 residents, followed by Delaware at 241 cases per 100,000 residents and New York with 235 cases per 100,000 residents.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n[all blue \/ Democrat-led states]<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\nCalifornia also led for most COVID deaths again, over the last week.<\/p>\n

Governor Whitmer of my own Michigan (a Democrat) has been such a \u201ctyrant\u201d with regard to the pandemic, that she is reluctant now to close business and activities down again by government decree, and is asking for voluntary participation. Since Michigan again has the highest rate of infection in the country (including the highest influx of the British variant) for at least the third straight week, that puts her in a bit of a bind, as The New York Slimes<\/em> noted<\/a>.<\/p>\n
The fact that she is reluctant to use coercion shows, I think, a big sea change in public willingness to abide by restrictions, now that the virus is slowly subsiding and vaccinations increasing every day. People aren\u2019t stupid. They can read statistics, like those I provide above. They may have to search a bit, but they can the discover the facts if they are seeking truth and not mere agenda- and politically-driven propaganda and slogans.<\/p>\n
For my part, I continue to state truth as best I can ascertain it: utterly oblivious and indifferent to any \u201cmore compassionate than thou\u201d posturing and virtue signaling from the political left. I\u2019ve never been muzzled or shut up and I\u2019m not about to start now at this stage of the game. If I am shown to be wrong about something, I\u2019ll gladly admit it. This is not a time or circumstance for foolish pride (if there ever<\/em> is a time). I\u2019m simply calling things as I see \u2019em.<\/p>\n
