Christmas 1991 (already married for seven years), with our first son Paul (then 8 months old).<\/span><\/p>\n

*****<\/p>\n

Many times I\u2019ve reflected, gazing at a sparkling Scotch pine\u00a0tree\u00a0or\u00a0by a cozy fire,<\/span><\/p>\n

How blessed I\u2019ve been with you by my side, during Advent\u00a0and Christmastime.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each year it\u2019s so lovely\u00a0to ponder baby Jesus or listen to carols sung by a choir,<\/span><\/p>\n

With the one I adore; sharing our holiday experiences so treasured and sublime.<\/span><\/p>\n

***<\/p>\n

At first it was just the two of us; as young marrieds\u00a0our focus was on each other;<\/span><\/p>\n

Then when the 90s came, Christmas became more complete\u00a0with three lively\u00a0sons.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the new millennium, God also sent us a daughter to join her three brothers,<\/span><\/p>\n

And December \u201cfamily time\u201d each\u00a0year was all the more filled with love and fun.<\/span><\/p>\n

***<\/p>\n

With\u00a0three children \u201call growed up\u201d now: one even starting out with\u00a0his new wife,<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s like\u00a0the \u201cold days\u201d again: just you and I taking in Yuletide sights and sounds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Treasuring the four wonderful children raised, we\u2019re entering a new phase of life,<\/span><\/p>\n

As grandparents soon; celebrating the birth of our Lord; grace\u00a0and peace abound.<\/span><\/p>\n

***<\/p>\n

Time together alone grows all the more tender and sweet as the long years go\u00a0by,<\/span><\/p>\n

Especially at\u00a0Thanksgiving, birthdays,\u00a0and Christmas: hearts intertwined by love.<\/span><\/p>\n

Adding up all the memories of holidays past, gazing at photos\u00a0with wistful sighs,<\/span><\/p>\n

We thank God for all our blessings, happiness, and faith: all granted from above.<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve survived life\u2019s\u00a0tragedies, frustrations: always coming through somehow,<\/span><\/p>\n

Trying our best to keep the joy of this special time of the year front and center.<\/span><\/p>\n

How I cherish all of our\u00a0great \u201cprecious moments,\u201d both in the past and now,<\/span><\/p>\n

Looking forward to future\u00a0Christmas\u00a0seasons, as the \u201cautumn years\u201d we enter.<\/span><\/p>\n
