Sometimes, you just have to quit thinking and start doing.<\/p>\n

At least, that\u2019s the argument that Mike St. Pierre gives<\/a> when confronted with over planning: \u201cDon\u2019t think unless you have to.\u201d<\/span>\n<\/div>\n

There\u2019s some wisdom in this for us in the workplace, at home and in life<\/p>\n

I tend to overthink\u2014and then get bogged down in the mess of it all. There\u2019s a certain ability God puts in us to make decisions, to analyze and review all the data and make a snap judgment. Often, \u00a0it is not foolish, but the ultimate in wisdom to decide with our guts like this.<\/p>\n

Mike was a Little League pitcher and was so wrapped up in mechanics, motion, and timing that he lost his little mojo<\/span>. He was frozen by the process. Finally, his coach encouraged him. \u201cDon\u2019t aim the ball,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t think. Just go out there and have a catch.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

It worked for little Mike. And it might work for you.<\/p>\n
