I have a dream of changing the world, but there are so many reasons why I can\u2019t \u2014 or won\u2019t.<\/span><\/p>\n

You see, I have a past, littered with\u00a0selfishness and broken relationships. <\/span>I have inadequacies, personal chinks in my armor that I know leave me vulnerable. I<\/span>\u00a0have doubts and uncertainties about my abilities. \u201cPick someone else,\u201d<\/em> I pray.<\/span><\/p>\n

Indeed, if you are like me, we are all beset by sins and failures, fears and temptations. We keep hoping to get a grip on this thing, but it slips out of our grasp.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nPaul had a similar conversation with some first-century believers. He acknowledged all the excuses in 1 Cor 1:26-29. <\/span>\u201cNot many of you were wise by human standards. Not many of you were influential. Not many were of noble birth\u201d<\/span><\/em>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\nWell, that sums up most of the Christians I know. We are a <\/span>ragtag group of nobodies<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>\n<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cBut God chose the foolish things of the world\u2026He chose the weak things of the world\u2026He chose the lowly and despised things of the world\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Basically, we are without excuse, because we didn\u2019t choose God. He chose us.<\/span><\/div>\n

Being a <\/span>Red Letter Believer<\/span><\/a> means that you take on the words of Christ and you begin to not just believe in them, but you begin to live them out<\/em><\/strong>. When we begin to embrace them and flesh them out,\u00a0we will see the world around you change. Those precious Words can redeem our schools, our workplaces, our governments and our planet.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Things are pretty bleak out there. Wars. Weather. Terrorism. Anger. Despair. It\u2019s all around us and there is urgency for God\u2019s elect to redeem the culture \u2013 to change the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

So what\u2019s my excuse?<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
