The end is near!<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
Apparently, <\/span>Harold Camping<\/span><\/a>, who has studied biblical numerology and prophecy, has \u00a0<\/span>figured out<\/span><\/a> the beginning of the end. And it may be closer than we think.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
In case you don\u2019t know it, the world is ending on Saturday at 6 p.m<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re not talking about a ball game, or a marriage, or graduating from college,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re talking about the end of the world, a matter of being eternally dead, or being eternally alive, and it\u2019s all coming to a head right now.\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Of course, everyone is having a field day with this.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Atheists and the religiously apathetic alike are scoffing at such doomsday\u00a0 scenarios (although they gladly propogate end of the world theology surrounding global warming.) <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Even Christians are <\/span>piling on<\/span><\/a>. \u201cNo man knows the time,\u201d we quote. \u201cFalse prophet!\u201d <\/span>we lob.<\/span><\/a> <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Real Truth<\/span><\/a> really takes him on. \u201cEvery scripture Camping cites\u2014without exception\u2014is twisted, mangled and butchered. The Bible warns of such \u2018evil men and seducers\u2019 (II Tim. 3:13<\/span><\/b><\/a>)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Here\u2019s my take on it. He may be wrong. And most likely is.Certainly, there have been others who were absolutely certain. Just shortly after Christ was gone from this earth, some believers <\/span>were admonished<\/span><\/a> for quitting their jobs and just hanging out for Jesus\u2019 return<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
But what if Camping is right, and I wasn\u2019t ready.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
And worse, what if it wasn\u2019t Saturday, but today instead? <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
Would I be ready? What would I do differently? <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
How about you?<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
