The Birth, Life and Death That Changed History Itself"},"content":{"rendered":"<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-\/\/W3C\/\/DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional\/\/EN\" \"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/REC-html40\/loose.dtd\">\n<html><head><meta http-equiv=\"content-type\" content=\"text\/html; charset=utf-8\"><meta http-equiv=\"content-type\" content=\"text\/html; charset=utf-8\"><\/head><body><p>The current trend to white-out God from society has reached a new level of absurdity.<\/p>\n<p>It has to do with \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Anno_Domini\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">A.D.<\/a>\u201d Every New Year, we christen the date with \u201cAnno Domini\u201d in Latin or \u201cthe year of the Lord\u201d in English. Secularists want to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.religioustolerance.org\/ce.htm\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">replace <\/a>A.D. with CE, which stands for stands for \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.answers.com\/topic\/common-era\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Common Era.<\/a>\u201d CE and AD have the same and value. 2018 CE = 2018 A.D. The word \u201ccommon\u201d simply means that it is based on the most frequently used calendar system: the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gregorian_calendar\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Gregorian Calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cB.C.\u201d as we know it is simply, \u201cBefore Christ.\u201d There\u2019s a movement to change that, too.<\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t believe we are so\u00a0 thin-skinned as a culture that we are offended by a number. Some of the arguments are head-shakers.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cnow the world is becoming more culturally diverse and I feel it is not acceptable to use a specific religion to date stamp. Can we please get into the 21st century and use something more generic\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u201cI feel stupid when I say \u2018before Christ\u2019 because in my opinion there was no Christ, so it just feels wrong and i think if you\u2019re not a Christian then you shouldn\u2019t really say it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt gives the impression that it is a fact that Jesus existed,And there is no solid evidence to support this, especially not scientifically credible evidence. I believe a new date system should be made maybe with a start date of ancient historical relevance, that is scientifically proven to have happened.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/580\/2018\/03\/Wikipedia.jpg\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><br>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3696\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/580\/2018\/03\/Wikipedia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"404\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>All of history hinges on the life of Jesus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The modern era of measuring years traces back to the singular event of the birth of Jesus. No other event changed the course of human events like this one.\u00a0The birth, death and even resurrection of Jesus are proven historical markers. You don\u2019t have to believe Jesus claims to acknowledge that history did indeed change.<\/p>\n<p>It was a hinge for all of humanity. It was a moment when all the travesty of humankind could change with the first gulp of air by a newborn infant. This baby would one day bear the burden of the wrongs of the world on himself. That\u2019s\u00a0 a world-changer.<\/p>\n<p>And even if you don\u2019t believe in the incarnation, dismiss the claims to deity and ignore the resurrection, you still have to contend with the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.why-jesus.com\/history.htm\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"> fact<\/a> that Christ\u2019s birth and death \u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scribd.com\/doc\/7950\/How-Jesus-and-Christianity-changed-the-World\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">changed<\/a> history itself<\/em>. What kind of world would we have today if the\u00a0Romans had continued running roughshod over the globe. But this rebellion of conversion literally crushed the oppressors through grace.<\/p>\n<h3>Imagine a world with Christ<\/h3>\n<p>And ever since, the world\u00a0culture hasn\u2019t been the same. Christianity brought the concept of equality to a world steeped in slavery, misogyny, and racism. It brought the idea of peace instead of retaliation. Christianity literally birthed modern education, politics and medicine.
