Well, God here I am again.\u00a0It seems like I was just here yesterday, confessing the same thing.\u00a0It seems like full circle, doesn\u2019t it? What\u2019s that? You don\u2019t remember? Serious?<\/span><\/i><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
This forgiveness thing really messes me up.<\/span><\/div>\n
It\u2019s so hard for me.<\/span><\/div>\n
And so \u2026 easy for Him.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n
I think that God\u2019s memory is long \u2013 eternally long. But He says He forgives \u2013 and forgets. I don\u2019t understand it, because I don\u2019t have the same capacity for love.\u00a0 I\u00a0forgive, try to forget, and then conveniently resurrect it when the\u00a0opportunity\u00a0is right.\n

<\/p><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
We have these lingering doubts about our abilities. We recall our sins \u2013 past and present \u2013 and rate them on a scale of\u00a0forgivability.
When I \u00a0fail God, I double down on the trouble, because I \u00a0don\u2019t trust Him enough to forgive me.\u00a0 To be honest, I love my religion of doubt and shame more than I love my Savior.I\u00a0safely hide behind my creeds and commandments, my structure and society.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
But this world of guilt runs headlong into a wild Savior and then things become dangerous.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
\u201cWhen we sin and mess up our lives, ewe find that God\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0go off and leave us. He enters our troubles and even saves us!<\/i>\u201d\u00a0Eugene Patterson \u2013 Long Obedience in the same direction\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

I have had people in my life who never really forgiven, harboring every wrong and adding to the wall of doubt brick by brick, making both of us miserable. That\u2019s no way to live.<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
Grace is dangerous because it frees you. It drops the chains and the shackles. It cuts loose the hobbling restraints and lets you be who God designed you to be \u2013 His child. It frees you to begin to live with others in harmony.\u00a0\n

<\/p><\/span><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/div>\n
Every single time I come to Him with my silly self. He smiles and waves me closer.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
