We all have things that we are gifted to do. Some of us are good with numbers. Others are good with words. Some of us are good with our hands. Some are good with their minds. It\u2019s the variety that makes the people around us so interesting.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s the way it is at work. Hopefully, you are excellent at what you do. In fact, Scripture calls you to excellence.<\/a><\/p>\n

But there can be a slow creep when you know you\u2019re good \u2014 a certain pride t<\/a>hat you can do things \u201con your own.\u201dYou might lean on God when it comes to analyzing reports \u2013 because you <\/a>struggle in that area. But when it comes to orally giving a presentation, you don\u2019t need God \u2013 because you\u2019re blessed with a silver tongue.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

You migh regularly lean on God to change your brake pads in your car \u2013 because you still haven\u2019t learned \u201crighty tighty, lefty loosey<\/a>.\u201d But you didn\u2019t lean on God to build your deck \u2013 because you\u2019re now on your fourth do-over.<\/p>\n

Can you see the danger of leaning on yourself when it\u2019s convenient? Do you have areas in your life that you are totally okay giving to God, others that \u201cyou team up with\u201d and still others that you \u201ccan handle?\u201d<\/p>\n

How does this play out in your <\/em>workplace?<\/p>\n

Psalm 10: 4 \u201cIn his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
