Jennifer, the writer of the beautifully reflective blog, Getting down with Jesus<\/a>, at first experienced guilt because of her busyness. But then she reflects, \u201cIf rest is entering the presence of God, if it is leaning back into His arms, if it is experiencing His grace, then I am drowning in rest.\u201d Read the rest of her post here.<\/a> <\/a><\/p>\n

Cathie, over at Carelines<\/a> was the original inspiration for this exercise. Now on her second week of purposeful Sabbath observation, she confesses that her planned day of rest \u201cwas a flop.\u201d So for this week, she is planning ahead to get all her work done on Saturday, so she can rest on Sunday. Jim who writes Bear Tracks<\/a>, says that Sabbath has many different looks, but he keeps two rules. \u201cIt must be holy\u2026.and at it\u2019s core, be \u2018set apart.\u2019 And \u201cit must be restful.\u201d Read his comments here.<\/a><\/p>\n

Kaye, the energizer bunny of bloggers and author of Thrive Christian<\/a>, says she\u2019ll eat least take \u201ctime to be quiet and ponder this deep word: rest.\u201d She\u2019s also had a long-time mentor who was constantly advising her to slow down.<\/p>\n

So how about you? What can we learn from our Jewish friends? From sunset on, they concentrated on family, friendship, fellowship and faith. They set aside an entire day for these things \u2013 and it works. Why is so hard for us?<\/p>\n
