Krispy Kreme, which created a National Doughnut Day\u00a0 event page on Facebook<\/a>, says people can stop into a store and get one free doughnut of any kind, no purchase necessary.\u00a0LaMar\u2019s Donuts, a chain with a decent-sized presence in Colorado and the Midwest, is also offering\u00a0 one freebie per customer<\/a>, no strings attached.<\/p>\n
The Dunkin\u2019 Donuts deal is\u00a0 still pretty sweet<\/a>, but it\u2019s not totally free: Buy any beverage \u2014 including the prepackaged ones in the fridge \u2014 and they\u2019ll throw in a complimentary doughnut, while supplies last. (Dunkin\u2019 and Krispy Kreme both throw in the \u201cat participating stores\u201d caveat.
