Blessed be the critters.<\/p>\n

Timothy Cardinal Dolan welcomed some four-legged friends Thursday to St. Patricks\u2019s Cathedral and gave each a blessing.<\/p>\n

The two dozen cats, dogs and rabbits \u2014 all rescued from city animal shelters \u2014 got Dolan\u2019s undivided attention in observance of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, who is the patron saint of animals.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n

The animals are all being cared for by the Wheels of Hope program of the Mayor\u2019s Alliance for NYC\u2019s Animals and the Humane Society of New York \u2014 and all are looking for good homes.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

It\u2019s not clear how many of them are Catholic.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
