Mark Burnett\u00a0<\/strong>says there will be a follow-up project to his hugely successful 10-part miniseries,\u00a0The Bible<\/em>. The producer also revealed he has just finished\u00a0editing the feature version of the series<\/a>\u00a0that will focus on Jesus. It now clocks in at two hours and 13 minutes, originally three hours.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u201cRoma<\/strong>\u00a0[Downey<\/strong>] and I will do a follow-up, one hundred percent. Something big,\u201d he said Sunday at the Produced By Conference. \u201cWe\u2019ve also just finished recutting the Jesus part of\u00a0The Bible<\/em>\u00a0into a feature.\u201d<\/p>\n

History\u2019s record-breaking lead-in for original scripted programming debuted to 13.1 million viewers and wrapped up Easter Sunday with 11.7 million viewers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The producer\u00a0stated that he could see himself and his wife, Downey, distributing\u00a0Bible<\/em>-related programming for the next 10 years. \u201cI believe in the next 15 years, more people on the planet will have seen our\u00a0Bible<\/em>\u00a0series than not seen it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Burnett also spoke about tightening the rules of people getting producer credits on TV shows. \u201cIt\u2019s a matter of you, not me,\u201d he told moderator\u00a0Vance Van Petten<\/strong>, national executive director of the PGA. \u201cThere are almost no rules on who can be credited as a producer,\u201d he noted, as opposed to writers and directors of which there are strict rules.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
