Last week, I posted in item on anti-abortion billboards<\/strong><\/a> in Chicago, featuring President Obama.<\/p>\n

Now, the Chicago Tribune reports, someone is covering them up, as you can see in the picture below.<\/p>\n

Controversial billboard ads recently unveiled in Chicago\u2019s Englewood neighborhood that target the disproportionately high rate of abortion in the black community have been covered by opponents less than a week after they went up.<\/p>\n

Two of the three identical ads \u2014 which feature an image of President Barack Obama and the words \u201cEvery 21 minutes our next possible leader is aborted\u201d \u2014 were covered with fabric banners with messages scrawled in red paint.<\/p>\n

One banner says: \u201cIn 21 minutes this sign should be gone.\u201d A second banner, which dangled from the billboard Sunday after being blown by the wind, says, \u201cAbort Racism.\u201d<\/p>\n

A group described as \u201csocial workers and community members,\u201d who did not want their names used, claimed responsibility for the act in a statement emailed to the Tribune. The group said the ads were disrespectful and did not represent the views of the community and that \u201cit wanted to replace the negative, condemning message with a positive one.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
