Here\u2019s something cool from the In My Backyard Desk.<\/p>\n

We showed this video this weekend at my parish, to kick off the bishop\u2019s Annual Catholic Appeal<\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 and I was gratified and heartened to see the diaconate featured prominently.\u00a0 In the past, the promotional video has turned a spotlight on priestly vocations as a way to encourage giving \u2014 touting how the donations help to support seminarians.\u00a0 But it was great to see diaconate formation being given its due.<\/p>\n
